New Print to Cut for CanvasWorkspace

Image
The ScanNCut Print to Cut function for CanvasWorkspace from Brother allows you to effortlessly detect the cutting position of objects on print material. By using material printed with images and registration marks together with cutting data created in CanvasWorkspace, you can efficiently cut the same image with the ScanNCut SDX1200 or cut out a specific part of the image. The Print to Cut function adds ease in creating stamped and printed images by adding a cut shape around them. This allows the shape to scan correctly as the cut shape is easily detectable. You are also able to edit the cut shape in CanvasWorkspace and then transfer the FCM file to your ScanNCut SDX1200. The Print to Cut function for CanvasWorkspace is an alternative to using the Direct Cut Function in the ScanNCut SDX1200. Tim Cooper creates character and decorative stitches with the XP1 Luminaire's embroidery hoop

Image
Building on the embroidery features of the Innovis XV machine, the Luminaire XP1 extends the number of sewing and character/decorative stitch patterns that can be used on the embroidery side of the machine. On the XP1 you can combine, mirror and resize different stitch patterns, using them to create all sorts of projects. One feature I particularly like is using button holes in the embroidery hoop so I can ensure I achieve perfect placement on my clothing (shirt plackets) and home decoration projects! You can find the character/decorative stitches in section 5 on the embroidery screen, as shown: The character/decorative stitch section is divided into 3 categories: 01 Buttonholes 02 Embellishments 03 Decorative Stitches As you will see, there are many styles of buttonhole available to use in your embroidery hoop, as well as embellishments for them. Select the category of stitch pattern you want to sew and then choose the stitch pattern you want, either using your finger or the XP1 '...

Snaffle the Snuggle monster by Little Button Diaries

Image
This not-so-scary monster is perfect for kids to cuddle up with during this time of year, and with Halloween just around the corner, it is a very easy, spooky sewing project that your children will love getting involved with! Kids will really enjoy being part of the process, helping to pick out the fabric colours, sit on your knee and help guide the fabric as you sew, and what we find especially is that they love to help stuff their new toy. For younger children, it’s a nice idea to make the monster rattle by popping a rice-filled container into the stomach of the monster. And for babies and small children, you can easily replace the button eyes with felt circles to make it completely safe to play with. For this project we used the Innov-is 20 machine by Brother. Just like the many other Brother machines we’ve tried, tested and loved, the Innov-is 20 is a pleasure to use and we couldn’t recommend it more. For this fang-tastic project you will need: 25cm sq of purple fleece Approximatel...
